On June 7-8, 2013 the Roger Tory Peterson Institute of Natural History is hosting a series of four field
excursions to some of the region’s most diverse natural areas to explore their natural history and to see
lots of birds!
Chestnut-sided warbler
Did you know that more than 300 species of birds have been reported from the Chautauqua-Allegheny
region? Our location at the intersection of two major biological regions and the availability of a great
variety of natural habitats makes our area particularly rich in wildlife.
The expert knowledge of our team of regional and national naturalists leading each excursion will
guarantee that you will see and learn more about the area’s natural history than you ever imagined, in a
comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. And you will see lots of birds!
