Art that Matters to the Planet: Clarity – Exhibition Opening

Join us to celebrate the opening night of Art that Matters to the Planet: Clarity, an exhibition that explores the role of art and artists in protecting freshwater ecosystems and all of the life they support. Art that Matters to the Planet: Clarity features artists who have partnered with environmental organizations, scientists, naturalists, and writers. With their work, they highlight the unique and fascinating worlds of freshwater ecosystems across the country.

Doors open at 6 pm, with light bites and beverages from the RTPI bar. Music performance by Mandy Majtan.

At 7 pm, join us for a conversation with artist Lindsay Olson, joined by Abby Mattson of The Wetlands Initiative. Olson and Mattson will discuss the process of an artist residency with a conservation organization, and how the experience impacted the work of both.

Exhibition opening receptions are free for RTPI members. For non-members, regular admission is required. Registration is encouraged for all. You can also register by emailing us at events@rtpi.org or give us a call at (716) 665-2473 and speak to one of our Visitor Experience Associates.

Featured artwork: Lindsay Olson, Calumet Region II, 2023, textile.
