Support Art That Matters to the Planet

Art matters. Nature matters. Your support matters. There are many ways to support the mission and work of Roger Tory Peterson Institute - make a donation, volunteer in the museum or in the preserve, become a member, leave a legacy...all are important ways to make a difference.

Your support makes what we do possible.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in.” (Anonymous)

You’re invited to join RTPI’s community of volunteers. To help. To make a difference. To have fun.

We’re looking for volunteers with skills and interests in the following areas:

  • Exhibitions installation and deinstallation
  • Collections management
  • Museum docent
  • Youth program assistant
  • Bird walk guiding
  • Bluebird nest box monitoring
  • Nature preserve restoration

For more information, please contact Justyne “Tina” Preston by calling 716.665.2473 ext. 227 or emailing Tina at jpreston@rtpi.org

Planned Giving

Planned gifts may be simple to set up, like putting RTPI in your will or making RTPI a beneficiary of an insurance policy or an IRA/401K. There are also planned gifts that can earn income for RTPI while you are here to see the good that your gift is doing.

To discuss your planned giving options please contact Arthur Pearson, CEO at 716.665.2473 ext. 224, or email Arthur at apearson@rtpi.org.
